A website for a landmark built to inspire change

We conducted a research phase, involving the center’s staff at our office in the UK and a visit to the newly built center in Dahran, to undertand their mission, their audience, their brand, their ambitions and the scope of their program. This allowed us to lay the foundations for a phased approach, with a quick turnaround for an early release, to build a platform that helps introduce the center to the Kingdom and develop a reputation throughout the world. Following consultations with the brand team we developed a design language that portrayed the layered nature of the centre, as a destination, a landmark structure, and an organic entity that through their programing enacts cultural change. Motifs from the architecture combine with layered elements through the site, as a visual metaphor for the unveiling of knowledge through exploration. Combined with dynamic movement, we designed and built a modern website, built around events programme. The backend was developed in a simple modular way in SiteCore, allowing for growth and flexibility, with specific components like the homepage being developed by us to transform the website into a dynamic and future facing platform.
