We aimed to create the worlds simplest car renting website, by reducing the amount of steps needed on the site to 4, simplifying car categories (a change that would require a business model change) and combining it all into a single page application, allowing users to always have an overview of their current progress, and to also back-track and play around with variables in a way that didn’t require constant page reloads. This concept proved even more popular with users than expected, with one user completing a car hire in testing in under 20 seconds, while being perfectly aware of the information and decisions taken. Budget have since taken steps to study the possibility of implementing our suggested business model.
